Another webcomic launched!

@ Smackjeeves

Oh snap!

Okay, so I'm still not over my recent obsession over So You Think You Can Dance 's Season 5 dancers. Now I hear that Mia Michaels, an internationally-known choreographer who does work for the show won an Emmy for Outstanding Choreography . It's actually her second   Emmy Award and I think maybe her fourth nomination. But really, that's not the point of this post. The point is, one of the routines that Mia won an Emmy for is "Gravity/Addiction" danced by SYTYCD S5's Kayla Radomski and Kupono Aweau, and somehow, that makes me extremely happy. :)  Congrats, Mia! Congrats Kayla and Kupono! Although Mia's piece was very powerful, I think it could have easily been ruined if K2 weren't able to deliver. Below are screencaps from the finale show of SYTYCD S5 where the routine was picked as one of Nigel Lithgoe's favorites of the season. Kayla danced the routine after she learned that she got eliminated. That must have been particularly hard but it

Newest TV Guilty Pleasure: So You Think You Can Dance?

Monday night, AXN aired the finale replay show of So You Think You Can Dance Season 5. Now, I don't follow the show. I lean more towards its elder sibling which is the singing reality contest show,  American Idol,  but then one random night I was channel surfing and I saw this one episode of SYTYCD  on AXN. I think it was the hip-hop routine done by Philip and Jeanine with all the chains and stuff and I was just....WOW. From then on, I was hooked. The strangest thing is that I'm only hooked to this particular season of SYTYCD . I don't care much for the other seasons or even the latest one (Season 7), which I understand is also airing on AXN Beyond. I've seen one episode of the latter and it was meh. Season 5, however. I only got into it like in the middle of the season, like the Top 10 or something, so by then, most of the not-so-good dancers were already eliminated, leaving the very best ones fighting for the top spot. I immediately liked Jeanine because of that a

Meet Boris Skarkovsky

His mother is shi tzu and his father is Japanese spitz. He's about two months old and extremely anemic. His gums were very pale and he was always drowsy. The vet had to give him an iron and B-complex shot and advised extensive de-ticking, a job which kinda fell onto me. The vet also gave him some kind of anti-tick drops down his back. Also, vitamins. After a couple of days, Boris seems to be doing fine. He still sleeps most of the day but he's quite active and playful at night. His gums are also a bit more orange now. I'm bringing him back to the vet this Saturday for his deworming. He's also due for his vaccination. Boris is probably the most high-maintenance puppy I've ever had.
